Online interpreter training improves dementia detection

New ground-breaking research from Australia’s National Ageing Research Institute (NARI), Known as the IMproving INterpreting for Dementia ASsessmEnTs (MINDSET) study, has demonstrated that online training of interpreters significantly advances the quality of communication during cognitive assessments for dementia. Cost of falls in aged care uncovered

A recent publication co-authored by NARI Director, Professor Tracy Comans, has revealed that fall-related injuries in Australia’s residential aged care could be costing the health system $325 million annually. New Director to Lead National Ageing Research Institute into a new era

Ageism rife, even as the world prepares to celebrate older persons
