A former long-standing member of the NARI Executive Team, Debra O’Çonnor, has been appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the King's Birthday 2025 Honours List. This prestigious recognition acknowledges Debra’s outstanding service and contributions to aged health in leadership roles and to the community.

Debra began her career as a social worker before transitioning to health service management and tertiary course co-ordination/lecturing.

In combining her professional and personal expertise with her passion for public policy, Debra has always demonstrated an unwavering compassion, commitment and dedication to making a lasting impact in the lives of others.
