Bilingual Research Assistant

Sunny Huanh is a Bilingual Research Assistant at NARI, working on collecting data and completing validated measures with people living with dementia and their family caregivers. She is bilingual with cultural and language skills in Chinese (Mandarin) and her role involves working closely with the Chinese dementia community and building rapport with them. 

Sunny brings a wealth of prior experience in healthcare, research, disability support, and working with people living with dementia. Her honours thesis, funded by Dementia Australia, focused on a pilot dyadic sleep intervention designed to improve sleep and psychological wellbeing for people living with dementia and their care partners. Her research interests include the biopsychosocial aspects of aging, dementia care, sleep and mental health, and community health initiatives.
