A/Prof Lucio Naccarella is a leading health systems researcher, evaluator and implementation science educator, with interests in systems change, health system literacy, aged care workforce, care coordination, multidisciplinary primary health care team work, primary care organisations and health workforce reforms, from a policy, research and practice perspective. His experience includes providing national leadership and input at policy level; reviewing evaluative evidence to inform policy decision making; and evaluating national and state level initiatives aimed optimising patient health outcomes and strengthening the health care workforce.  He has largely focused on 4 key areas:

  1. Building evaluation capability within public sector organisations;
  2. Evaluating health workforce models of care and development;
  3. Evaluating population health, health literacy and professional development initiatives;
  4. Evaluating workspace environmental healthcare facility design to optimise the workforce
