Attendees included researchers, clinicians and practitioners, consumers, academics and industry members. The theme of this year’s symposium was Navigating Ageing & Aged Care Pathways: Research and New Initiatives. The 11 presentations provided different perspectives, experiences, research and initiatives including information about the development of the MyAged Care website, carer perspectives about navigation, new programs as alternatives to acute care, quality rating systems in aged care and primary care programs and resources for health and wellbeing of older adults. Researchers presented on methods used for engaging older people including refugees and those from CALD communities. Morning tea and lunch breaks offered opportunities networking to meet new and old colleagues and exchange information about research and practice and many aspects of ageing and aged care.
