Research Assistant

Robin has been with NARI for a number of years. Her career has traversed a range of settings including the community sector, academic institutions and research projects. With a tertiary education in Arts and Social Sciences, Robin has occupied roles such as community liaison worker, communications and media officer, manager of academic departments in a university setting, and research assistant. The research projects she has been involved in have addressed subject areas such as women’s health, breast cancer, the impact of journalist redundancies, and the BEFRIENDAS study, currently underway. Robin is a research assistant on the study which is exploring the impact of ‘befriending’ on the mental health, social connectedness and wellbeing of older adults living in residential aged care settings. She is committed to promoting care, respect, self-determination and dignity for older people.
