Promote Independence Through quality dementia Care at Home (PITCH)

WHAT IS PITCH?

PITCH is an education program for home care workers who support people living with dementia and their families at home. PITCH aims to increase the skills and confidence of home care workers to deliver high quality care that promotes independence, improve quality of life and reduce family carer stress.

PITCH has been co-designed by a team of people who are living the experience of dementia everyday:

  • people living with dementia
  • family carers
  • home care workers
  • home care service managers
  • dementia experts
  • training and education professionals

to ensure the PITCH program reflects what the people who actually use or provide home care, want to know.
