Dr Phuong Lan Do is a Research Officer at NARI in the Division of Social Gerontology. She is a social worker and researcher with fifteen years of experience in the fields of healthcare, community development, disability inclusion and human rights research, teaching, field education supervision, and project management. Her areas of research interest include prevention and caregiving in dementia and culturally appropriate provision of healthcare and support services for members in multicultural communities. She is being awarded her PhD in Health and Social Development from Deakin University. Phuong is currently working on the MindCare (Co-producing a dementia risk reduction program for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities to improve health self-efficacy) project, which aims to raise awareness about what people can do to reduce the risk of dementia in their everyday lives.
