MARC holds a regular research seed funding round to build ageing research capacity and promote research translation.

In 2026, the MARC seed funding program has three major aims:

1. To provide seed funding to those working within a MARC partner organisation to commence or progress a research idea or project.

2. To build ageing research capacity and promote research translation within MARC partner organisations.

3. To provide an opportunity for those with limited or emerging research experience to further their skills and understanding of research processes, particularly ageing research.

Applications close 31st July 2026 at 5.00 pm (AEST).

Recipients of grants will be notified in early October 2026.

Grants will be awarded from a total pool of $40,000. In this round, we aim to fund up to four grants with any one grant being no more than approximately $10,000. Funding is for a period of 12 months. Projects are expected to commence prior to January 1st, 2027.
