Education and training Seminars in ageing Seminar recordings Seminars in Ageing: Intergenerational Pride Housing: Reducing Loneliness and Housing Insecurity Across LGBTI+ Generations Dr Lukasz Krzyzowski About the Presenters: Dr Lukasz Krzyzowski is a Vice-Chancellor’s Research Fellow at Edith Cowan University, Director of the Rainbow Migrants Living Lab and Researcher-in-Residence at GLBTI Rights in Ageing (GRAI). He combines participatory research with community-led practice to design inclusive, evidence-based interventions and support models for vulnerable groups—particularly LGBTIQA+ people, migrants and older adults. He leads the developmental evaluation of GRAI’s Pride Intergenerational Housing pilot, which tests co-housing models pairing older LGBTI+ adults with younger cohorts to reduce social isolation, enhance psychosocial wellbeing and improve long-term housing stability. About the Seminar: The Pride Intergenerational Housing pilot is an evaluation-led initiative addressing loneliness and housing insecurity among older LGBTI+ adults through community-based co-housing with younger people. Grounded in an ageing-in-place strategy, the project combines developmental and outcome evaluation to capture both social and housing outcomes. This seminar presented preliminary findings, explored practical challenges in implementation, and reflected on lessons learned. It also considered the broader implications for inclusive housing provision, and policy aimed at fostering culturally responsive, age-friendly solutions. Booking for this event has now closed.
