Danny Liew


Director, NARI Board

Professor Danny Liew is a Director of the NARI Board. Professor Liew is the Chair of Clinical Outcomes Research, Head of the Division of Clinical Epidemiology and Co-Director of the Centre for Cardiovascular Research and Education at Monash University’s School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine (SPHPM). He is also a consultant physician at the Alfred Hospital in General Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology.

From 2010 to 2015, Danny was the inaugural Chair of Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Melbourne, Director of the Melbourne EpiCentre (Centre for Clinical Epidemiology and Health Services Research) and Head of Medical Unit 1 at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. Danny’s research capacity and interests lie in epidemiology, clinical trials, health services research and health economics and his research has informed policies and service re-design in hospitals. Professor Liew has been a Director of the NARI Board since May 2019.
