Deputy Director NARI, Director Melbourne Ageing Research Collaboration (MARC)

Debra O'Connor is the Deputy Director of NARI and Director of the Melbourne Ageing Research Collaboration (MARC). As a member of the executive team, she leads the operational and research governance functioning of NARI as well as supporting the Board and their subcommittees. In her executive role, Debra oversees fundraising and communications programs and external relations, partnerships development and management of the education and professional development program. She maintains a strong interest and some advisory roles in psychosocial research undertaken by NARI.

Debra’s career path has included managing health services as well as lecturing. She is a Senior Industry Fellow at RMIT University and is currently a member of the RMIT Social Work Program Advisory Committee. Debra is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is the NARI Company Secretary.
