The Kouris family invites friends and loved ones of Efthymia 'Mitsi' Kouris to leave a donation to the National Ageing Research Institute in her memory in lieu of flowers.

Vale Efthymia 'Mitsi' Kouris
Born 18 August 1935

All donations made in Κυρία Kouris' honour will directly support research and activities related to improving the lives of older people living with dementia and their carers from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, including through culturally-appropriate information for Greek-speaking communities.

NARI's research is conducted with and for older people and those who care for them.

The Kouris family's generosity in sharing their story of caring for their mum has directly informed the development of a digital intervention to support culturally and linguistically diverse family carers and people living with dementia. Called 'DrawCare', this innovative approach uses animations, digital fact sheets, and a multilingual chat-bot to provide practical support to culturally and linguistically diverse family carers, with the aim of reducing stress for family carers while improving mood and quality of life for carers and people living with dementia.

Your donatons will support the continuation of this work, and other research like it.

NARI is registered with the Australian Charities and Not-For-Profits Commission (ACNC) and is endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR). All donations over $2.00 are tax deductible for Australian taxpayers. Donations over $2 will be provided with a receipt by email or post.
