What makes good aged care?

It is predicted that 3.5 million Australians will be accessing aged care services every year by 2050. These Australians will be diverse in age, culture and lived experiences and will have a variety of needs, preferences and expectations. Our annual summit will showcase what makes good aged care in home and residential care for older people.
Opening address by the Hon Luke Donnellan, Minister for Disability, Ageing and Carers. Keynote address from Prof John Pollaers, OAM on “A Matter of Care - making change happen”.
Delegates will hear about what NARI has learnt about what makes good aged care for people from diverse backgrounds in both the community and residential care settings. Key findings from NARIs work with Aboriginal communities and people Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds will be presented.
The Summit will conclude with a panel discussion on what makes good aged care. The panel will include experts in aged care as well as consumer representatives.
