Date: Friday the 20th of July 2018, 9:00am - 12:30pm

Venue: Royal Melbourne Hospital, Seminar Room 1, 300 Grattan St, Parkville VIC 3050

MARC was pleased to host its first workshop on data and how best to use it to create research opportunities in ageing. We had the honour of Associate Professor Jeromey Temple, Demography and Ageing, University of Melbourne, and Mr Mark Cooper-Stanbury, Disability and Ageing Unit, Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW), take the attendees on a journey into the world of data and how to use various data sets in ageing research. The event was hosted by Royal Melbourne Hospital, with high attendance and participants rated it highly

Jeromey and Mark provided valuable insights on how to generate and explore project ideas using and analysing the 'universe of data' available to researchers including the GEN database on the AIHW website or the data Table Builder on the Australian Bureau of Statistics website.
