Marsha Thomson

Director, NARI Board

The Hon Marsha Thomson is a Director of the NARI Board. Marsha has worked as an economic forecaster for IBIS Research Services and in project management for the State Transport Authority. She also worked as a senior adviser for State and Federal Ministers.

Marsha was elected to the Victorian State Parliament and has served in both the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly, the latter as the Member for Footscray. She has served as a Minister for Small Business and Consumer Affairs and was the first woman in Australia to hold the portfolio of Minister for Information, Communications and Technology.  Before retiring from parliament in 2018 Marsha was Special Adviser to the Premier Daniel Andrews in the areas of Trade and Innovation. Since retiring from parliament Marsha has taken on a role as a strategic consultant. Ms Thomson has been a Director of the NARI Board since September 2019.
