Research Assistant

Georgia has been a Research Assistant at NARI for the past two years on the BEFRIENDAS project where she is mainly involved in recruiting residents from aged care facilities and completing interviews/assessments with them. Georgia has been involved in research in the area of ageing for over 4 years and completed her honours thesis on the relationships between anxiety and prospective memory in older adults. She has previously worked with older adults living in the community and retirement villages and have a keen interest in depression, loneliness and cognitive impairment.

Aside from working in ageing research she is also completing a Master of Psychology (Educational & Developmental) and working on her thesis, ‘The Impact of Cognitive Impairment and Age on Assessment of Depression in Older Adults Living in Residential Aged Care.’
