About us Our people Dr Stephanie Garratt PhD, MPH (Hons), BA (Hons), Research Officer Dr Stephanie Garratt is a Research Officer with a PhD in Health Sciences from the University of Auckland (New Zealand). She has been with the NARI since 2018 working in the Clinical Gerontology Division, and has taught and researched topics related to healthcare ethics, residential aged care, dementia, medication management, e-solutions, and quality care. Stephanie is passionate about health service evaluation and research that takes into account the voices of the healthcare workforce and older adults. She has worked with a range of stakeholders across the healthcare spectrum, and is an experienced mixed-methods researcher. In 2022 she was awarded the International Journal of Older People Nursing’s award for Outstanding Scholarly Contribution to Gerontological Nursing Practice by a Student, for her paper “To crush, or not to crush?
