Bilingual Research Assistant

Dr Carolina Navarro is a Bilingual Research Assistant at Moving Pictures. She interviews members of Spanish-speaking communities across Australia about their experiences as carers of people with dementia or providers of services for people with dementia. Carolina is an expert on the interviewing of victims and vulnerable witnesses. She recently completed her PhD in Psychology at Deakin University with research on this topic and is currently a member of the Centre for Investigative Interviewing (Griffith University). She also recently collaborated in two research projects at the Alfred Deakin Institute for Citizenship and Globalisation on discrimination and hate against minorities, including older people. Her research interests include interviewing of vulnerable witnesses, interviewing of people in multicultural settings, clinical and forensic interventions with victims of sexual abuse, discrimination and hate crimes, and cross-cultural research.
