The Australian Ageing Research Foundation (The Foundation) supports the research undertaken by the National Ageing Research Institute.

The Foundation raises funds for research which will contribute to the health and wellbeing of older people and reduce the impact of conditions such as frailty and chronic disease. We encourage investment in research which will help an increasing proportion of Australians to achieve lifelong wellbeing.

Donations through the Foundation will be used to contribute to our research and development in our primary research areas, including:

  • Falls and balance
  • Pain
  • Dementia
  • Memory decline
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Elder abuse.

There are many ways to become involved, including:

Become a Foundation Benefactor

Any person or organisation who contributes $1,000 or more will become a Foundation benefactor.

Leave a legacy

Leaving a bequest is a special way of leaving a gift for generations to come. It also allows us to plan for the long-term future with a greater degree of certainty.

Contribute an endowment

Supporters can organise endowments through the Foundation. Endowments enable us to pursue research priorities which are not currently funded, such as elder abuse, quality of life, and put our research funding into practice.

  • Endow a Senior Fellowship
  • Endow an Early Career Fellowship
