Telehealth: The Australian Government Department of Health has announced bulk-billed telephone consultation services which can be provided by your GP.
If you have symptoms: If you’re experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms, self-isolate and seek medical attention from your GP as early as possible. If your GP clinic recommends you attend an appointment in person, phone the clinic before you arrive so they can tell you where to wait to see the doctor.
Coronavirus Helpline: If you are worried and want to talk to someone about your symptoms, call the National Coronavirus Helpline on 1800 020 080 for advice. The line operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Difficulty breathing: If you have severe difficulty breathing, call triple zero (000) immediately and tell the call handler and the paramedics on arrival about your recent travel history and any close contact with a person with confirmed COVID-19.
